fly fishing females Experience the great outdoors through the art and sport of fly fishing. The introductory two day, three-hour class is designed to promote confidence as you learn the fundamentals of fly fish equipment, knot tying and gear selection.
The first class will take place at the Cleveland Park Annex (near the Greenville Zoo) where the group will spread out in the surrounding area for a casting clinic. The second class will give participants the opportunity to practice their new skills at Paris Mountain’s Lake Placid. D.K. Littleton Outfitters will provide instructors for the class.

quiet water kayaking
Geared for new paddlers, this one-day introductory class is a guided tour down the French Broad River in Rosman, NC. Kayakers will learn techniques and skills including paddle stroke, water-reading and safety from an ACA certified kayaking instructor.

In cooperation with UpSouth Volleyball, the City of Greenville sponsors summer sand leagues for interested adult participants. Upcoming leagues include:
Tuesday Night King & Queen of the Beach
Dates: Begins May 15
Cost: $10 per person
Players can pick up doubles at the event.
Wednesday Night Triples
Dates: Free play begins May 16; Schedule begins May 23
Times: 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $75 per team
League tournament will be held September 8.
